"And in the first of the sabbath
very early they came to the monument,
carrying the spices which they had prepared:
and they found the stone rolled back from the monument.
And going in they found not the body of our Lord Jesus.
And it came to pass, as they were astonied in their mind at this,
behold two men stood beside them in glistering apparel.
And when they feared,
and cast down their countenance toward the ground,
they said unto them:Why seek you the living with the dead?"
(Lk 24:1β5)
"And so our Lord Jesus after he spake unto them, was assumpted* into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God." (Mk 16:19)
"And when the days of Pentecost were accomplished,
they were all together in one place:
and suddenly there was made a sound from heaven,
as of a vehement wind coming,
and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire,
and it sat upon every one of them:
And they were all replenished with the Holy Ghost,
and they began to speak with diverse tongues,
according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak."
(Acts 2:1β4)
"Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid:
For behold from henceforth
all generations shall call me blessed.
Because he that is mighty
hath done great things to me:
And holy is his name."
(Lk 1:48β49)
"And a great sign appeared in heaven:
A woman clothed with the
sun and the moon under her feet,
and on her head a crown of twelve stars."
(Apoc 12:1)
Begin with the Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
While holding the crucifix, pray the Apostlesβ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy Catholic Church,
The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Then pray the Our Father:
Our Father, which art in heaven, sanctified be thy name.
Let thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, in earth also.
Give us today our supersubstantial bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into tentation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Then pray:
Three Hail Marys (for Faith, Hope, and Charity), and one Glory Be.
Hail Mary Prayer:
Hail Mary full of grace,
the Lord is with Thee,
blessed art though among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God, Pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death; amen.
Pray:
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost,
as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end; amen.
For each decade:
Announce the mystery, pause for reflection, then pray:
One Our Father, ten Hail Marys, and one Glory Be.
After each decade:
You may add: βO My Jesus, forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of Hell and lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy; amen."
Closing Prayers:
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To Thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To Thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Optional: Conclude with the Litany of Loreto or another Marian devotion.
